Masculine and confident, fresh and
elegant,
Alfred
Dunhill inherited his father's saddlery business at the age of 21.
He saw a growing demand for automobiles
and decided to convert his father’s factory from horse-drawn carriage
accessories to motor accessories. He called this "Dunhill's
Motorities". His first collection included car horns and lamps, leather
overcoats, goggles, picnic sets and timepieces.
Dunhill
pitched the company under the slogan “Everything but the Motor”.
Today Dunhill is a renowned company specializing in leather goods,
writing implements, lighters, timepieces, fragrances and clothing
